Hand drumming is fun, healing, and deeply satisfying to our souls and spirits. This is a drumming group that promotes women learning drumming by organizing drum workshops, drum circles, and drumming events. A core group of experienced women drummers, some from the Batucada Belles, a Brazilian drum group, play at social justice events. Opportunities to learn to drum, and opportunities to play at social justice events in the Boston Area will be promoted on this meetup.

We are seeking paddlers to join our team. Living Root is a diverse group of men and women dedicated to the sport of dragon boat. Started in China 2,300 years ago, dragon boat is a competitive sport where long, sleek boats holding 20 paddlers, a drummer, and a steerer race down a 500 meter course. Social gathering for intermediate to advanced amateur acoustic instrument players over the age of fifty(or close enough), that meets weekly at Nantasket Beach to play a few dozen songs (as posted and in our lyric/chord book).
